"Yellowstripe Anthias" was painted in late October, 2011 and is a new series for this artist.
This painting is that of a species of fish found in the Indo-Pacific ocean reefs. There are many varieties of this species as to color, but this one really caught my eye ! The actual name of this colorful fish is "Yellowstripe Anthias" (Pseudanthias Tuka).
This one happens to be swimming in very deep water, sudpended above the bottom to the point that it looks to be in almost total darkness.
This original is 12" by 16" on canvas. The canvas is not stretched and the painting is not framed. The original will be shipped rolled and in a shipping tube.
