The chain is a flat 15-inch gold chain suitable for the petite.
The shell measures approximately 3/4 of an inch in diameter.
Bergere is a trademark used on high-quality costume jewelry made by the company Herbet and Pohs, Inc.
This chain and shell was purchased from Lord and Taylor's in the mid 1960s and has the Bergere-Signature
gold tag still attached !
The Lord and Taylor store is located on 5th Avenue in New York City and was the forefront in fashion
costume jewelry in the mid 1960s.
